Learn the Bible Verse by Verse

Are you searching for a way to learn the Bible verse by verse? Here is a a way that I found that is also very convenient to use.

Back story

A couple of years ago, I had surgery and had complications two days later, which led to me getting an ambulance ride back to the hospital. When I was in the hospital, I  had nothing with me but my phone. I was there for 8 days and watching the hospital TV was not exciting. I had nothing on my phone but email, a Facebook app, and a Bible app. I was not interested in games or Facebook so I turned on the Bible app and put it in audio mode. That was the beginning of my return to Christ after wandering away.

After leaving the hospital,  I had to stay home and take it easy for about two weeks. I was in a lot of pain so I couldn’t do a lot around the house. It was during the school season so I had the days to myself. I enjoyed the peace, but was getting bored. Since I’d started listening to the Bible again while in the hospital, I searched Roku for anything Christian related. After checking out multiple channels, I found one called Skip Heitzig.

Teaching videos

I’d never heard of him before, but he had a LOT of teaching videos and the library just keeps growing. He has verse by verse teachings on every book of the Bible. A lot of sites say they have that but they tend to skip. These literally went through every verse.

I spent those remaining days alone healing and learning about Christ. It was like a renewing in my heart. It seemed that my medical setback led me to that place. I’m not saying God make me so sick I  had to be rushed to the ER, but it worked out so well. Whatever the means, God took control once it happened.

Online videos and audio

I don’t have time now to watch TV much, so I looked up Skip Heitzig’s name and was pleasantly surprised to find that he offers those same teachings online. They are all FREE. I listen to them while I’m at work and sometimes when I’m in the car. You may have to deal with a few bad jokes but it’s worth it to get a better understanding of the Word. As with anything, read for yourself and do your own studies when something doesn’t make sense to you or doesn’t seem right. No one is perfect.

Here is a link to the site that has the teachings. I hope that you find them useful.
