When you can’t pray – Romans 8:26

Romans 8:26

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

NKJV
Have you ever tried to pray and drew a blank? Was there just so much going on in your day that you didn’t even know where to start?

There have been times when I’ve had so much going through my mind, but drew a blank when I started to pray. When there is just too much, it seems my brain chooses to just shut down for a bit. But that’s okay. God already knows what’s going on and is there with us. Even when we’re just on our knees, saying nothing at all, He knows what we need. The Holy Spirt resides within us and is working within us. During those times when I tried to pray, but just couldn’t get it out, I still felt a sense of peace. God just wants us with Him, whether we are saying anything or not.

Just sit with Him, quietly if you have to. Know that God is working on what you need already. If you can’t say anything, don’t force it. He doesn’t want our meaningless chatter. He just wants us.
